SUNY ESF - U.S. Green Building Conference this week in Syracuse

http://www.esf.edu/greenbuilding/

Green building experts from across Upstate New York convene March 11 and 12 at the Oncenter in Syracuse for one of the most widely attended Green Building conferences in the northeast.  This year's headliners include Rick Fedrizzi, CEO, President and Founding Chairman of the U.S. Green Building Council and best-selling author Sarah Susanka ("The Not So Big House" and "Not So Big Remodeling").  A series of workshops focus on green building design, construction and processes.

According to the U.S. Department of Energy, buildings' energy use accounts for 39 percent of U.S. carbon emissions.  There are a host of tools that can help.  USGBC offers The Green Home Guide (www.thegreenhomeguide.org)  which provides information on green homes, information on the LEED process, and a free-to-download REGREEN remodeling guide.
